Executive Training on ‘Team Effectiveness at Work ’
MENA College of Management Dubai hosted an Executive Training Workshop ‘Team Effectiveness at Work’ on Sunday November 15, 2017 for the Continuing Education and Community Engagement Mission.
Dr. Sayel Sabha, Associate Professor at MENA College was the lead speaker and used the good range of training formats including concept discussions, videos, exercises and self-assessment survey and effective explained why team work is essential for survival and excellence and how the same can be achieved. Dr. Sayel received his master and doctoral education and training in India and has been teaching and training a range of courses in management and marketing in Jordan, Palestine and the UAE.
Opening the Workshop, Dr. Mohan Agarwal underlined the importance of team in delivering interdependent, complex and seamless performance and the need of interpersonal trust, transparency and inclusion to transform a group into an effective team.
Mr. Mike Patterson, Productivity and Executive Coach summed up the workshop with his action points for team formation and effectiveness.
The workshop was well received by the delegates and praised the President Prof. Moneim of the MENA College for his leadership and support for staff excellence.
Block Chain Technology and Smart Academics
Mark Balovnev, Co-founder and CEO, Educhain, California collaborated with Dr.Mohan Agarwal, Director Continuing Education MENA College of Management Dubai to conduct an Innovation Workshop on ‘Block Chain Technology and Smart Credentials’, November 02, 2017. The workshop was attended by President, members of the Faculty, Counsellors, Registration, Administration, Finance and IT.
Dubai Future Accelerators program has approved the Educhain project under the mission to identify emergent technologies and businesses and has the patronage of Dubai Government and Dubai Future Foundation.
Knowledge & Human Development Authority (KHDA) Dubai supports the Educhain project and MENA College is one of the select signatories to the innovation.
Excellence Workshop on “Locus of Control”
The Continuing Education Division of MENA College of Management Dubai will present an Excellence Workshop on the theme of ‘Locus of Control: From Concept to Application’ for Sunday, December 17th, 2017. A person with a self- locus of control believes that he or she can influence events and their outcomes, while others blame outside forces for everything. The presenter is Dr. Masroor, Associate Professor at the College, PhD in Management, Malaysia and MBA, UK. Dr. Masroor has been teaching and training business and management for over fifteen years in South Asia and the UAE.
Damas Jewellery supports Executive Workshop on ‘Interpersonal Communication Skills’ on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017
Mr.Huthaifa AlQeisi, Learning and Development Manager -Damas Jewellery Dubai , Certified Training Professional UK, Service Quality Institute, USA, and Master trainer to almost 35000 Damas employees, joined Professor Mohan Agarwal , US Fulbright Fellow and Director, Continuing Education and Community Engagement, MCM College Dubai and facilitated an executive training workshop on ‘Interpersonal Communication Skills’ on Sunday, October 22nd , 2017. The workshop highlighted important interpersonal skills of communication, personality and the tool of Jauhari window. Participants appreciated the engagement, outcome and the academic –industry connect for the workshop.

Marketing for Customer Happiness and Value Creation

Dr.Mohan Agarwal, Professor of Business and Director, Continuing Education & Community Engagement delivered an Executive Training Workshop on Marketing for Customer Happiness and Value Creation as a social contribution to the 9th Marketing and Branding Congress at Hotel Radisson Blue UAE, on October 16th, 2017.
The workshop under the social responsibility presented several winning concepts of marketing and branding and applied them to the problems and challenges of the participating companies.
The workshop benefitted over twenty five senior managers, marketing managers, general managers and directors of the Sharjah Electricity and water authority (SHEWA), Sharjah Oasis, UAE Auditors, GECO, Gersal Elektric, mBELLAb, Emirates Transformer & Switchgear, Rexton, SHARLU and many UAE family and SME firms.
International Workshop on “Project Management” for Senior Government Officers in Africa
The Continuing Education and Community Engagement (CECE) Division of the College conducted its first International Workshop on ‘Project Management’ for the senior officers of the Government of Nigeria on October 9 and 10, 2017. President Prof. Abdel Moneim and Director Prof, Mohan Agarwal conducted the workshop which received outstanding training feedback. The highlight of the workshop was field projects in collaboration with me, Dubai Metro, Dubai Future Foundation, Emirates NBD Bank and Hamdan Innovation Centre for Government project initiatives etc.
Strategy Workshop on “Happiness for Customers and Colleagues”
In the honor of Dubai vision of customer happiness and our own mission of happiness centric excellence in learning and working together, the Department of Continuing Education and Community Engagement hosted a workshop on Happiness for Customers and Colleagues at work’, on September 26, 2017.
Dr. Mohan Agarwal, Professor of business and director led and facilitated the workshop which was attended by a large number of participants from all service functions and was highly interactive and experiential in delivery.
The Division is mapping a calendar of regular training programs and workshops for continuing education and community engagement.
